I began working for Planned Parenthood Action Fund in October 2020. I took over all existing social media for a local chapter in Rochester called Rochester for Reproductive Freedom. I am co-president, but since it is a small organization I wear many hats. My responsibilities include designing graphics, managing RRf’s IG and Facebook pages, brainstorming collaborative events, creating strategies for outreach and growth, and co-leading a board. The most rewarding part of this job has been seeing our little organization grow exponentially in the past several months. Our growth online isn’t slowing down and we get an average engagement rate of 10% on all our posts and stories. The local news has covered three of our events and we have developed a strong presence in a short amount of time.
